the Engineer’s MBA

Discussing Construction Project Management, and What Business Research Can Teach Us
ABOUT
This blog targets a wide audience of construction professionals with a passion for improvement. Whether that is improving their skill set, personal and team effectiveness, business strategy or team’s cohesion.
The construction industry is one of the most complex and diverse industries requiring the complete synergy of a multitude of disciplines operating in complete harmony to executive unique and resource intensive projects for the betterment of society. We often enter the industry with an Engineering degree and a narrow education, and soon realise we require a much wider scope of knowledge to succeed in the industry.
I have personally found the scope of the MBA degree to be the perfect complement to the Engineer’s career and the industry as a whole. However, cost and time requirements place severe limitations on the accessibility of the program to most professionals. The purpose of this blog is to share some of the insights that may ignite a passion in readers to learn more and hopefully find value in what they learn and can apply to their work.
